Cosmos
Edition 2026

by Patricia Anastassiadis

In Edition 2026, wholeness drives the creation of 17 pieces. The design orbits the brand's 50th anniversary and its legacy.
In Greek, kósmos means order. It is the organization of the universe, but also that which gives meaning to chaos. Since the earliest civilizations, looking at the sky has been a human act of seeking to understand one's place in the world. It is from this impulse that Cosmos is born, another powerful concept that Patricia Anastassiadis uses to express the furniture collection she designs for Artefacto – it is the eighth time she has designed the collection and her tenth year as creative director of the brand.
"Sustainability is essential for us, in our vision of remaining timeless" says Patricia, who collaborated with architects Felipe Anastassiadis and Ana Luiza de Deus

COSMOS COLLECTION

In the year that Artefacto celebrates five decades, Patricia broadens her field of observation. She looks at the whole, at what orbits and drives the brand's expanding universe. Cosmos looks to the past and future, to building a legacy that will make sense over the coming years, with furniture that converses with each other, that expands without disruption, that finds balance between form, technique, and function, in addition to beauty. “There is a greater abstraction, a look at the whole,” says Patricia.

Yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but technical quality and functionality are not negotiable in Anastassiadis' design. “It has to be beautiful, pleasing to the eye. People will interact with that piece of furniture for years, and that interaction should be the best it can be,” concludes Patricia.

Like elements orbiting each other, there is complementarity between new releases and items from previous years. "Sustainability is essential for us, in our vision of remaining timeless" says Patricia, who collaborated with architects Felipe Anastassiadis and Ana Luiza de Deus. Felipe reinforces the research movement: "We have brought different techniques to Artefacto over the years, something that has always been embraced positively by production. The team has never shied away from any challenge, which stimulates us in our creation."
